JRMI Set to Launch first VERITAS Theology Forum in Tulsa, Oklahoma

This Sunday, March 2, JRMI will launch a unique weekly evening gathering for believers who desire to grow deeper in their knowledge of God and his precepts. This gathering, known as the VERITAS Theology Forum, will be held in a large meeting hall at the Tulsa Junior League located at 3633 S. Yale every Sunday evening at 6:30pm. Each Sunday evening VERITAS session will be a full experience hosted and led by Jerry Robinson.The room is large enough to accommodate 250 participants and will host several nationally known special guest speakers throughout 2008. It will be filled with a time of food and fellowship, acoustic worship, and an intense theological discussion. The theological topics will be segmented into a series format and each series will last several weeks. Our current series is an in-depth examination of Genesis 1-12, (covering the time of creation to the call of Abram) and will continue for several weeks.

Why the VERITAS Theology Forum?

The mission of JRMI is "to challenge believers to think and thinkers to believe." Today, multitudes of precious souls living in our modern information age are skeptical of the Bible's claims of exclusivity. They reject that the Bible is indeed literal. And they live in a world that provides intellectual challenges to the Christian worldview. Unfortunately, many of these same people then attend church on Sunday and are not challenged at all. Today, very few church attendees know WHAT they even believe... or even WHY they even believe it. Instead, many church services today are designed to make the participant "feel good" and leave "happy." No challenge = No change = No spiritual fruit.

This rampant lack of theological awareness and cultural penetration in the modern church is simply unacceptable if we truly believe that Christ's return is at the door. We are living in a highly prophetic hour in which we are responsible to heed the "signs of the times" and to "watch and be sober."
