Ahmadinejad in Jerusalem?
An invitation will soon be sent to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to visit Jerusalem from none other than the Supreme Judicial Court of the Jewish People, better known as the Sanhedrin. Ahmadinejad is one of hundreds of world leaders who will receive the invitation which is part of a new campaign designed to raise support for the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple by the Sanhedrin. In the letter, “the rabbis of the self-proclaimed Sanhedrin warn that the world is nearing a catastrophe, and write that the only way to bring peace among nations, states, and religions is by building a house for God, where Jews will worship, pray and offer up sacrifice, according to the vision of the prophets.” The “Letter of Love and Peace” being sent to world leaders includes an invitation to a Conference on the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple. The Conference is to be held during Succot 2007 (Sept 27 – Oct 3, 2007)
In addition, the newly revived Sanhedrin has been promoting the reintroduction of animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount. "In the Torah there are around 200 commandments dealing with animal sacrifices," said Rabbi Dov Stein, of the Sanhedrin organization. "The Torah of Israel demands animal sacrifices. When the people of Israel were in the Diaspora, it couldn’t be done. But now, there is the supreme institution, the Sanhedrin, made up of experts, and it can be done. The new Sanhedrin, like the old, will educate the people of Israel on how to keep and safeguard the Torah."
According to the Sanhedrin, efforts to rebuild the Temple are being thwarted by the Israeli government and by politically motivated rabbis. The opposition facing the Sanhedrin is mainstream Judaism which teaches that animal sacrifices may only be conducted in conjunction with the Temple and views the Sanhedrin’s attempts to short circuit this process as unacceptable. Jesus in Miami?
His name is José Luis de Jesús Miranda. He’s a former heroin addict and a convict. He also claims to be Jesus Christ. In fact, he claims he is greater than Jesus Christ and that his teachings supersede those of Christ. He also considers himself to be the Antichrist. The Puerto Rican preacher, who claims to be Christ, and the Antichrist, wears a “666” tattoo on his forearm and is the the founder and leader of Creciendo en Gracia (Growing In Grace International Ministry, Inc) located in Miami, Florida. According to the Dallas Morning News, Miranda "preaches to followers in some 35 nations, mostly in Latin America, and has 287 radio programs and a 24-hour Spanish-language TV network." Miranda teaches his global followers many heretical doctrines. Most prominently, Miranda denies the existence of hell, of Satan, and of sin. Miranda teaches that his followers should live a life of luxury because there is no hell to avoid, and that sin and the devil were destroyed 2,000 years ago. His followers, who affectionately refer to Miranda as “Daddy,” wear t-shirts with Miranda’s face with the slogan, “GOD HAS COME,” believing Miranda to be God on earth. They also believe that all other religions on earth must be destroyed. Miranda plans to continue aggressively spreading his new gospel throughout the globe, with a special emphasis upon the American Hispanic population. He and his followers believe that their brand of religion will one day dominate the entire world. According to a CBS interview, Miranda stated that he “will be president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced."
What The Bible Says...
The real Jesus Christ warned that this type of behavior would precede His return when he said: “If anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matt. 24:23-27 NKJV)
Clearly, Miranda fits the profile of a “false Christ.” He is a heretic and a false prophet. He is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” However, the fact that his claims are gaining traction around the world is a sign that we are living in desperate times. One thing is certain. When the real Jesus Christ returns to the earth, there will be no guesswork involved. It will be unmistakable and undeniable. He will return as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. He will be mounted upon a white horse and He will be coming to exact vengance and judgment upon the nations. You can read about His return here.
Despite what Miranda teaches, the Devil does exist. He will be cast into the Lake of Fire when God is through with him. Hell does exist. It is where all unbelievers in Christ will spend eternity. And sin does exist. It was because of sin that Christ came to the earth 2,000 years ago.
